WLIK operates twenty-four
hours a day with music of the 50's, 60's and early 70's. "The
Smokies Oldies" carefully selected to recall memories for you
from that fabulous musical era. WLIK plays the songs you know from
the stars who made them famous - Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, The
Beatles, Bobby Darin, Elton John, The Bee Gees, Jim Croce, Neil
Diamond, The Eagles, Rod Stewart, Three Dog Night, The Temptations,
Chicago, The Drifters, The Supremes, Rickie Nelson - America's best
music carefully assembled in what we call "The Smokies Oldies."

Air Personalities
Angie Wilkerson
Angie is a native Cocke Countian. Angie is a newcomer to the actual
work in radio although she has been around WLIK all her life. Angie
has been the voice of WLIK's popular "Swap and Shop" program as
well as coordinating the "on air" programming. Angie will be happy
to help you plan your advertising program as well. Angie is a music
collector as well as a four-wheeler enthusiast.

Swap and Shop
Since 1954 the most popular local radio program has been Swap and
Shop. Swap and Shop is an interactive program where listeners can
call in twice daily at 6:45 a.m. and 11:32 a.m. for fifteen minutes
and buy, swap, sale or trade items of interest that is not part
of your regular stock and trade. This has become a staple for barter
and trade in our area. Join us for Swap and Shop Monday thru Friday
at 6:45 a.m. and 11:32 a.m. and Saturday at 8:00 a.m.
Bulletin Board
Community news of interest comes to everyone's attention on the
WLIK Bulletin Board. The Bulletin Board is heard forty times a day.
If your church, school, club, civic organization or governmental
agency has information that people need to know about be sure we
have it and we will include it on the WLIK Bulletin Board.
Religious Program
Since 1954 WLIK has been a community pulpit for many of our churches
and religious leaders. Each Sunday throughout the day and Monday
thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. til 11:30 a.m. and on Saturday from 8:15
a.m. til 10:00 a.m. hear live church services from the church, special
sermons, and a variety of gospel messages designed to encourage,
uplift the spirit and preaching of the Word. You'll appreciate the
many and varied religious broadcast on WLIK. For times of a specific
broadcast refer to our programming
schedule.
News
WLIK is a member of the CNN Radio Network and the Tennessee Radio
Network (TRN). CNN is the world's largest news gathering source
and is the premier news network in the world. WLIK has been affiliated
with CNN Radio since it's inception. CNN News is heard at the top
of each hour in a five minute format and WLIK has access to the
CNN long form programming for such events as September 11th. WLIK
has state news from TRN at the bottom of the hour throughout the
day. TRN is a statewide network of stations for late breaking state
news.
Weather
WLIK features our local weather forecast four times each hour. We
have the resources of meteorologist Matt Hinkin of channel 6 WATE-TV
in Knoxville to provide specfic accurate forecast for our listening
area.
Little Known Facts
Each weekday at 4:15 p.m."Little Known Facts" presents an interesting
perspective on little known places, people and things delivered
in a spellbinding style.
